Terms of use

The United Ancient Nations Documents Collection is published by the Secretariat as a public reference copy of the documentary record it holds.

What this collection is

Each record published here reproduces a document held by the Secretariat, under a reference number assigned by the Secretariat and retained for the life of the collection. The pages are a reference copy provided for public consultation. The document held by the Secretariat is the authoritative one, and where a page and that document differ, the document governs.

Certified copies

A page of this collection is not a certified copy and is not issued as one. A certified copy of any record may be requested from the Secretariat at [email protected], quoting the reference number shown on the record's page.

Reference and citation

Anyone may read, cite, quote and link to the records published here. A citation should carry the author, the title and the reference number, followed by the name of this collection; every record page prints the citation in the form to use. Documents are displayed a page at a time and are not offered for download, which is a condition of their publication rather than a limitation of the site.

Accuracy, correction and withdrawal

The Secretariat corrects the record where a correction is established, and a correction may be sent to the address above. A record may be withdrawn from publication; its reference number is retained so that a citation of it resolves to a notice of the withdrawal rather than to nothing.

Filing a record

Records are filed into this collection by registrars of the Secretariat, who sign in to do so and whose address is recorded with each record they file. No other person may file, amend or withdraw a record.

Availability

The Secretariat maintains this collection as a continuing service and does not undertake that it will be reachable without interruption.
